Why would I stay here? This leadership is horrible. All they do is plan. They talk about plans, they review plans, they go around and around and around. Execution? None. Nothing is real. People are leaving or getting laid off totally random with no real logical reasoning.
The stock price is totally artificial and it’s just a matter of time before this crumbles.
There is no path forward.
Dell pays sh-t , manipulates employees to go hybrid. All stock price increase is fake. mD is planning to retire..so needs one big bag of cash before he goes and makes the company go public. Yes you heard it here first .

I don’t think it’s you or your motivation to work. Dell isn’t a good company. It wasn’t good before EMC. It was better post merger and now they’re trying to remove anyone from EMC that’s in a leadership role. The current Dell regime knows how to put parts together. That’s it. They don’t know how to build software or how it works with hardware. They don’t understand the nuances of the products they sell in the SaaS, on-prem environments and they really have no concept of technology or how to use it.
If you want to leave you should, but if the other people around you think that this is how business should be run then I pity them.
The reason you stay is money. Develop real skills with dell money. When you have in-demand skills you can leave and make more money. You know leadership at Dell is incompetent and that won't change.
If you quit and only have fake dell "skills" you will be in a worse position.
Develop plan B stick around and take the package
My sincere advice, please leave. No one is asking you to stay. Dell has a target HC to reduce this year. People who are not motivated to work, should find something else and leave. The whole remote thing and 3 days RTO is put in place to get people to leave (and not necessarily increase productivity)
Please leave (if you find a better job.. money, motivation whatever your criteria is) so that people who want to stay at Dell can keep their jobs.

That is why employees are just droids. Might as well just be called Delltoids. Keep the machine running until the part wears out and is replaced.
