Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Bain corruption

These layoffs are insane. JD sc--wed the pooch and uses Bain to do the dirty work to clean up his mess? JFC!

I am extremely puzzled by Nike's association with Bain. Bain has been involved in so much corruption overseas that it is mind blowing that the company would associate the Nike brand with the likes of Bain. They have even been banned to do any government business in some countries because of their corruption. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-62408116

The same goes for McKinsey and SAP.

Having Bain do this takes the burden off leadership to actually do the work to evaluate employees. Bain generally doesn't care if an employee performs well or fits with the org, they are just looking for $ to cut.

In case you didn't know, JD worked for Bain & Company early in his career, becoming the firm's president and CEO in 1999. That's why they use Bain.

Bain gets rewarded the more savings they generate. That’s how it normally works.
