Flat costs on another year ... At some point people are just going to start running towards the door. LinkedIn job postings already have within rounding of zero applicants in my function. How long is this legitimately sustainable, and what talent sticks around for it?

If Swinnea gets closed down, Medtronic won't be able to send product to the field.
I'm hoping the cuts start soon and unexpectedly. The Swinnea campus is a zoo and Project Sonoma is tu-d show. They didn't think that whole situation out at all. Many medtronic employees were forced to become Ceva employees, no one is being trained properly, and Ceva employees are pretty much working 7days and medtronic is working 10-12 hrs daily and are constantly being asked to volunteer more time and weekends.
Nobody wants to buy the divisions, lol PM and RI sat for 2 years and the deal fell through. They will end up like GE splitting into 3 companies, cutting their way to "greatness."
We are all sc--wed. Medtronic is going to shut down divisions or break them up and sell them in pieces.

Yup, they’re firing hella people, I got fired along with 9 others at Medtronic, and that’s that we were agency contractors, not even companies employees, so we’re cheaper
Ride it out until those rate cuts go down
