Her exit package was negotiated even before she took the job. To the person who says it troubling that executives are talked about in high regard when they performed badly, make no mistake the circle of recruiters and executive level people know what has really happened. She's not looking good in the back channel right now. Its also noted in the SEC files she was fired. Its public.

Take peace that Maria doesn't get out of this unscathed. She's going to disappear for a while before working again. She'll probably hire a PR and branding team to fix all of this. Her comms VP is a friend her's and will help her. (Her comms person introduced herself to me as a "second offender" for working with Maria again as she had before in the past...I always thought that was telling)

I really hope Maria retires and doesn't continue inflict unseen harm on any other employees again. She should be ashamed of herself.

Welcome to the Corporate America machine. Would you like to insert another quarter and play again?

Several people in my management chain are saying that MM was LR'd. I haven't heard what her severance package is, but I'm sure she got at least the same # of days "in lieu of notice" that we did, possibly more months of "severance" than we did, and the same or slightly more grossed-up COBRA benefits.

The real kicker is how much of her outstanding stocks/RSUs were allowed to vest early so that she could claim them?

I just don't like how company executives can do a poor job at a company and are asked to leave, aka fired, but the company puts a good face on it so that the departing executive can get another job with some other company and brag about how "good" a job they did at their last company. Meanwhile, those of us who were doing actual good work get LR'd because a product isn't profitable, management decide to change directions, whatever, and we get stuck w/ the LR stigma that makes us look like the bottom 5% and we have to work that much harder, or lie, during our interviews about why we left our previous role.

Problem with this leadership is that they do not recognize issues openly, they have massive teams that can solve things. But do not tackle the critical issues.

Open come out an say XYZ did not work and we are changing....be transparent for right stuff.

I guess @iot+1rciWXln and @yfu+1rciWXln are the same person. Get a chill pill dude. It is legitimate to ask question on a rumors site.

Go and do an SQL query on this link for the Form 10-Q and you will get the exact same pdf that's on the previous link. No wonder you are worried about getting LRed. Totally inc0mpetent.

It might as well be from my.bottom.com. If it's "all over media and SEC even" you can give a reference from a site ending in SEC.gov.

"source? "

It's all over media and SEC even. Grow up and learn to do a search.

"On February 16, 2024, as part of organizational changes with respect to Cisco’s executive leadership team, Cisco informed Maria Martinez, Cisco’s
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (“COO”), that the COO position currently held by Ms. Martinez has been eliminated. "
