Downtime and not being paid

I used to work for Change before I was redeployed to another team from AR and it was bullsh-t so I left.

One of my ex coworkers texted me and said that they haven’t been paid for 4 days because of the cyber attack and don’t know when they will be able to work again.

But she’s a temp,
Is this true for everyone or just temps?

I'm a therapist, and one of the billers I use apparently uses CHC for benefits verification. I'm getting paid for already completed sessions, but I can't verify new clients needing services. I would have to charge them full fee amount or wait. I'm hearing story after story like this. There is major fall out from this. In a way, it is affecting people's pay associated with this.

CHANGE brand name seized to be a separate entity over 17 months ago?! Why is this org/UHG plastered the CHANGE in public news?

This is liken a dysfunctional parents decided to “pay” for adopted children and not responsible for integrate the kids into the family. Blame storms continued and lack of parental/leadership guidance. Karma comes full cycle. Read on -

The Optum Alerts clearly state that everyone will continue to be paid as usual.

This is fear mongering. There was an automated call to all employees stating they would be paid their normal hours through out this downtime. If they are not being paid, they are temps.
