Managers, don’t waste your Leading indicators on people already at top of band!

Hearing people at the top of their band get leading, but getting a smaller raise than those who are performing, is such a waste of a rating.

You could have given that rating to another employee who was equally as deserving, and resulted in a 6%+ raise, but just blew it on your fu--ing buddy again.

Yeah, but the employees who truly over achieved might take offense at being rated Performing. With Leading you can at least point to the top of band as the reason for the scrappy raise. Also listing them as leading gives you more flexibility to adjust the ST I to make up for the BPI.
