Back to the office to see the empty desks where our former compatriots used to sit. Shall we pour out a drink for them? It will feel odd as we await our own fates in May watching every interaction for a sign. Ugh.

I never really understood the point of coming back on Mondays (besides appeasing shareholders) every Monday when I wake up and leave my partner and dog, my soul gets crushed a little bit more. What was the point? Su-k the rest of my morale through a straw?

I fear that if we keep complaining about waiting until May, they’ll do it sooner. Maybe an unreasonable fear but some of us need every day of pay we can get. Even if it means tolerating the stressful work environment.
