“ It's easy to see the value of COR stores. ”

I think you mean, It's hard to see the value of COR stores. Why else would they be quickly moving away from company owned retail? Oh wait, because the cost is 200% more than AR.

It's easy to see the value of COR stores. Just look at how many thousands of new lines are sold at AT&T Stadium every month! Just kidding. The irony that we spend so much to put our name on the stadium for a has-been team is amazing.

“I work in a very busy COR store. I sell enough accessories to cover my salary alone. We easily do 500 plus upgrades on most months.”

Wait, you forgot to mention that you’re humble too.

I work in a very busy COR store. I sell enough accessories to cover my salary alone. We easily do 500 plus upgrades on most months. People avoid AR stores like the plague around here.

I know what you mean, and honestly, I was just like this. Coming from a COR background (before my corporate promotion that eventually led to a layoff after over 15 years with the company, whatever). I always maintained the belief, and told everyone I know, to ensure to only deal with real COR stores, not AR. However, my last 2-3 experienced at my local COR store were terrible, every time I came in to buy a case, or get a new phone for my wife, we found features slammed onto my account. And that's when they knew I was an employee! The one time we went into a AR store, which was honestly so well camouflaged I didn't even realize it wasn't a COR location until the next day, I was worried I will find issues with my account or our trade in, and there weren't any. No features slammed, everything processed as it should, and the people there were great. So it's a hit or miss.

With that said, I'm not surprised the company is getting rig of COR stores, as sad as it is. I'm only surprised it's taking them this long.

I am sorry to say that based on an older comment on this site that said no one but seniors come in to ask for help figuring out their phone anyways…and they never buy anything…, that I just don’t care if they close Company owned stores. After that comment I never again bought my new phones at an Att store. I go to an Apple store where I always am treated like a valued customer.

Recent experience in COR store in ATL was so ghetto that I was worried for my personal safety. One non DEI hire was working his tail off while the rest hid in back. Disgusting.

COR stores are done, this isn’t a surprise.
Direct selling resources are being outsourced at a quicker rate than ever.
Business sales is about to be crushed…

Right on. I haven’t been inside a retail wireless store in probably 10 years. Everything is online, or better yet, through the app.
