Green badges

What’s the deal with all these green badges in the MFG group? What’s their role? There are green badges effectively hired to do BB jobs in some departments. Just curious what’s up.

Replacing expensive BB higher education employees with cheap labor uneducated forces to avoid paying expensive benefits like health insurance, stocks, awards, bonus etc ...

These are temporary contracts, giving the business flexibility and keeping HC off the books. Both important things if any type of organizational split or spin-off is imminent.

Out with the old, experienced, and expensive employees. In with the young, inexperienced, less expensive contractors.

It's the Intel way.

Given Intel's increasing reliance on the DoD, local green badges can do ITAR work that would be illegal to outsource overseas. Intel doesn't have to buy health insurance for green badges either. Assuming the quality hit doesn't impact sales, win-win.

What is even considered a BB job vs GB job. Thats all fuzzy. Difficult to draw lines.

It’s like outsourcing, saves money and reduces quality. Intel is desperate for cash
