Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford vehicles being stored on many lots in large numbers…

There is another article in the News about hundreds of F150s being stored on the former McLouth Steel site in Trenton. I’ve also seen mentions of them being stored on lots in Ecorse, the Central Cartage trucking lot by Zug Island in Detroit, an empty lot on Melville Street, a Ford lot on Southfield Rd. and I 94 area, and in Ypsilanti.

Anybody know why we are storing all these vehicles rather than shipping them to dealers to sell to customers?

Launch issues. All the cars will be fixed now that F150 has OKTB. If you want to know why Ford is instituting RTW, look at our last few launches. F150 should have launched 3 months ago. Mustang was delayed 3 months with the CNE constantly emailing managers and chiefs about the lack of support from their engineers. Issues called took 2-3 days for engineers working from home to review in person. Even longer to develop ICA/PCA. So now we are going to pay someone like ROUSH to fix these units and also the UAW repair 12hrs/day until ROUSH is done. We waste more money as a company because of this.

They are hiding vehicles now in shopping center parking lots in lots of SE MI suburbs. Less likely to be stolen than Detroit and Dearborn. Plus they think nobody will catch on that all their sales are fake.

Close the doors. This company is toast.

Started with the 2020 Explorer. Every laugh since has been a cluster.

Those Ford vehicles are not OK to sell. There are defective parts that must be replaced.
