The social media marketing shills are working hard today. Must be some bad press coming.

All these feel good stories end up in employees being surplused or let go for RTO. Oh and he's an Associate Director, not Director.

That's great but think about all the age discrimination and off shoring ATT has done over the years to perfectly good employees that ended up in bankruptcies and other financial crisis.

Nice of you to drop by Stankey, can you say the same for the over 100k employees that no longer have a job because of Randall's and your disastrous decisions last decade? Nice for the sycophants that are still working and not having to relocate or RTO.

What a great story! It's easy to forget how many employees has helped over many years have a great living. Thank you, AT&T!

I agree, PR stunt for all the failed leadership decisions over the last several years. When a company has 100k plus employees there is always a success story, unfortunately it’s extremely unbalanced, there are way too many negatives that make his story a rarity.

I heard this person’s story several years ago. This article in people magazine is a clear attempt at proactive PR given all the negative PR lately as a result of senior exec ineptitude.

This person’s story is a powerful one and he is legitimately hard working, talented, and dedicated to this company. To have this be an external story in a major publication is great for this person, but even better for a large corporate entity who has been in the headlines for all the wrong things lately.

This is one example where whataboutism (e.g., “what about all the horrible decisions JTS has made”) would actually be appropriate.

Nice story of what used to be, let’s see how it plays out over the next 2 years. He had an opportunity and made the best of it, easy to move around when you are homeless without any close family or community ties.

2007 was before Accenture took our jobs. AT&T absolutely does not give a rats ar-e about anyone.

“RTO after 16 years you too can barely make over $200k a year”

Oh thanks……………….

Nah, I’ll just go to Amazon and make $300k right now, bai, especially since they’re paying me to move.
