Wow coming up on five years post VSP. I still enjoying reading these posts. For those whom left I know you also read these still, still happy you left? Ever so often I think how much I miss the Halloween Costume and Pumpkin decorating contests along with pot luck customer service week meals provided by the employees themselves

Wish I had taken more time wraps and batteries
I left 4 years ago after 20+ years. I pinch myself every day that I was finally smart enough to cut the cord. Better pay, a much better work life balance, and the number of complete a$$holes I have to deal with on a daily basis is orders of magnitude lower. For me, life outside of Verizon has been very good.
I was 5 years from Medicare when I Took the package, then returned as a contractor for 30 months, I also was able to get Max lump sum for my pension, and my 401k is has almost doubled which I have not touched. Still at times I wish I was still working there, not for the money just something to keep busy. I know others that took the package way to young and regret it.
I almost hit that button back in 2018. It hasn’t been easy, but salary has doubled, bonus nearly quadrupled and nice to have the added in RSUs. Got RIF’d two years ago and grateful to be here still - hoping to hold on for a few more years, but always under the g-n with RE-orgs and everything else.
Glad you are happy, 5 years since VSP and I am still here learning some really cool stuff. My total comp and 401k have just about doubled in value, and I am working for one of the most lenient RTO big companies out there. To each his own.

Although VZ has seems to have changed a lot since taking VSP. I still come here as well to read what is happening. And yes, I am very happy I left.
Might have still been there if had not taken VSP. About 10% chance laid off, 60% chance sent to HCL lol
