Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

I am reading these positive reports about Blockbuster quarter in Dell...

... and something smells awfully fishy about it. For starters , Dell has very obfuscated business model ; my question is - does somebody understand how Dell is making money in those so-called Blockbuster quarters. My feeling is that Dell is much closer to Enron than somebody might expect..

What happens when the stock buy backs and layoffs stop?

It is not so much that Dell had a Blockbuster Quarter, but that that Sales didn't drop as much as analyst expected. So they Su-ked less than expected, but that is what the Market wanted to see.

Anyone with a basic understanding of maths can see the books are not cooked. The hype in the current SP is overreaching but so what, tell that to Apple, Tesla, Bitcoin, Microsoft blah blah companies that have all . . at one stage . . had a huge share bump on a hype train.

Dell landed some MASSIVE AI bids last year and this year, these dont fall from trees. This is driving interest and people can see dollar signs.

Also, in case you didnt notice. . . Dell just cleaned HP's clock, stole HPE's Lunch money and drank Lenovo's milkshake, Whilst they were flailing around cutting and selling things Dell quietly built an edge to core to cloud story that works.

Find me another company that has their sht in a sock that good. Nope.

Lastly, the smart money knows that there is an evac from the Hyperscalers as AI takes hold and that means infrastructure. AI is just the fluffy dice we use to sell the car.

Yes your honor. At this point the prosecution calls defendant and former Chief Financial Officer Tom Sweet to the stand. Tom, raise your right hand.

It is all very technical from a financial perspective. I don't know how it entirely works but having looked through the documents I can say that there are two fish vendors in Chicago who sell the same fish back and forth between themselves and this is somehow tied to the profits.

In the time we are doing FRS we are also working and in constant contact with customers. Far more useful than doing lines with Chad at the Bellagio and better outcomes/lower cost.

Yea but Dell leadership is STILL doing FRS online for the 3rd year in row, while other companies are enjoying sales kickoffs in Vegas etc cheap as fk Dell still doing cr-p online
