I’ve been quite stressed about it. Not the best time to look for another job.

Oops I posted an article from 2008 that said 550 jobs. Obviously that is unrelated to those that were let go today.
A bunch of people in NJ let go today BUs include tech, risk, and compliance
Looks like Fidelity Investments had about 550. I think Fidelity International is a separate entity. https://www.investmentnews.com/industry-news/news/fidelity-announces-extent-of-layoffs-15745
Typical Fidelity fashion - it was late. Layoff's announced today.
This is just how they want us to feel. As if there are no other employers out there. Motivation by fear.
But ya don’t have to fall for it. It’s just a job. Do your best and only stress/worry about what’s in your control. $5 billion client complaining about processing errors and slow turnaround times? Not my fault. I will empathize but won’t put my neck in the vice.
Looks like we were a day late on the prediction

Try to relax. We don’t know if it’s true or who it would affect. Always good to be looking for jobs and applying anyway. Maybe there would be a severance. It would work out okay. Maybe better, it could open doors for people who otherwise wouldn’t make changes.
No layoffs , just fake news...just chill
Same here. I’m sick to my stomach
