Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

FUD

Fear Uncertainty Doubt over potentially losing their job will get employees into the office.
Those scared enough will probably go into the office more often before Sept.
Amazing what letting go of some employees does to gain back control.
Leadership and HR lead with fear.

No one is really safe anymore but if you want to survive in finance companies for a little longer: Upskill on AI, really learn the business and p/l side of the products you support, and at least know the fundamentals of the tech. If you can't hack it or don't have the capacity, hang on until they call your number (just a matter of time). The game of thrones stuff is only going to get worse now so make sure you're up for it. That or time to pivot to selling houses or insurance or some other schedule flexible job. He-l, start a dog walking business. You might be happier and at least you had your time on the gravy train. Good luck.

Greed does weird things to rich people. If people would realize THE ASSOCIATES have the upper hand, then YOU could take back control. Without 'the workers' Fidelity is N O T H I N G. Quit selling yourself short. Fidelity has good benefits, but base salary is low and they don't appreciate you. Ban together and picket outside the office instead of going inside to work. But you won't, you'll bi--h about it and go in. Now, get some new clothes and go kiss some A$$ so you can keep growing your debt and dependence on the rich man.

PS.Fidelity should be ashamed, glassdoor and linkedin are great places to leave your comments.

If you don’t want to get up and go into work, you can be something. It’s called being a b-m. For tips on being a good b-m watch Down and Out in Beverly Hills or lazy b-m The Big Lebowski.

If remote really was the holy grail the companies would not be trying so hard to put things back how they were. The debt slaves will have no choice but to return. Bills to pay and mouths to feed.

The opportunity for businesses to cull the worst bunch of employees so easily and potentially without severance must have managers drooling. What an opportunity to start fresh.
