I can only imagine they’re a forever contractor
@1cqm+1rw74e56 why wouldn't you get severance?q
Oh I would love to be with an Indian lady!
I'd gladly take a pay cut vs. layoff, but that's not an option. Each time I've been laid off I've gone 10+ months unemployed, despite diligent job hunting - and I'm expecting even worse in this environment. So much for all the hard work and long hours put in to this job... it's fun just watching it all go down the drain while struggling to survive. Some of us aren't getting severance and don't have spousal income to carry us through. Just venting into the abyss, I know.
Yes by the end of March. It's easier to reach people during spring break, so we can keep things low key
@1fjo+1rw74e56 - Clearly you’re either so privileged that you’re out of touch with reality and cant comprehend how unfavorable the job market is, or you’ve been living under a rock. Two months of severance pay won’t get most people to their next job and unemployment isn’t enough to cover bills.
I am not sure why are you people panicking so much? So you get paid off so what? Life goes on
Not a rumor. Our VP confirmed it will be third and fourth week of April.
HR has learned their lesson and will just send out a mass email to everyone affected all at once. The whole meetings thing was just for the uppery ups that was done first.
To quote Gilbert Grape "I could go at any time"
Are you in a depressed economic zone and are cheap as heck? No? Live in Portland Oregon where you need tons of cash to survive and thrive? Expect layoffs
I am also hearing April
April 22nd for everyone at every level?
End of April. Nothing has changed from the original timeline.
Last full week of April
We find it's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.

Yeah, I heard that Nike FTEs and ETWs are on the chopping block.
Any sense of which groups?

Layoffs will continue until morale improves mortal.
You are not safe now, and you will not be safe any time soon. None of us will.
