I believe we are experiencing a final shift towards meaningless jobs with lists of tasks away from having actual careers involving professional accomplishments, rewards and growth. No expertise, knowledge, experience and creative thinking are needed anymore. There will be no difference between flipping burgers and being a professional who invested time and money in education and certificates. We will be (not) valued equally, and every job will be just a temporary dead-end. So I will act accordingly. Work strictly within the bounds of my workplace while actively looking for another job all the time.

Milk it for the cash as long as you need it. Just don't drag the toxicity of Dell to another organization once you leave. A lot of folks have been laid off at Dell and are shown the door soon after at the next job bringing the same gossipy weirdness into a functional professional setting. Be sure to detox and reset on your next journey. Believe it or not there are places outside of Dell where common decency, intelligence, at actual skill matter.
That happened about 40 years ago when companies ki-led off pension plans.
I'm worried that I am no longer learning anything and falling behind in tech by staying at dell. My job has been "meaningless" for a couple years now.
They want you to quit quietly….
Stop being so dramatic and get off your soapbox. You should have been looking out for yourself from the beginning.
