I think this was health related. I’m all for calling out management but I think you need to not speculate and have some basic facts before posting like this.
As an executive, if you do not deliver on 100% of your annual deliverables, you will be replaced and ultimately be required to retire once you are retirement eligible.
You replacement understands that they too will be replaced if they do not deliver on the their annual scorecard.

OP, you're 100% right. She was fired because she didn't close Clinton among other things. The same happened to the investors relations VP. She told D not to sue our own investors. He didn't like it.
