Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

MAYDAY FROM MIDLAND!

Any one else worried about the two prominent ex-Concho resignations and what that means for Midland and culture generally? Rumor is they both left for the same reasons… disagreement with cultural direction and HR. Someone tell the ELT this is an energy company, not a policy company!

Midland will be fine, but it's probably time for those who are clinging to "The Concho Way" to recognize that they no longer work for Concho. It's been 3 years so it's time to either start adapting to the ConocoPhillips culture or go look for work elsewhere. COP didn't acquire Concho for their culture.
If WG thought he was entitled to anything at COP, he was sorely mistaken. There was no way he was going to become CEO just because he was under TL's protection. If his feelings were hurt that someone more qualified got DM's job, then good riddance. He didn't earn it, he didn't deserve it, he wasn't qualified for it.
