Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Executive leadership

RTO decision was made by Andy and Head of HR, Eclao, based on advise from outside consultants. Every decisions made by executive leadership is based on what other firm’s are doing or advice from consultants. Does leadership have any original idea? Do they listen to their employees? Your voice doesn’t matter?

Recently article about consultants at Berkshire
Both Buffett and Charlie Munger, the Berkshire vice chairman who died at 99 in late 2023, dislike consultants of all kinds. Munger once said that he would rather “throw an asp down my shirt front” than hire one.

Buffett once said that if Berkshire uses pay consultants after his death, he will rise from his grave in anger. Their view has been that companies use pay consultants to inflate executive compensation.

Clearly things at the bank are not going well and the leadership quite frankly isn't very good so knowing all of that it shouldn't be of any surprise they will continue to make bad decisions.
