When did we open an office in the Uk?

Follow your own advice. Watch what you write here, especially if English is not your first language. I am almost sure I know this particular style of writing. I am sure others do too. Practice caution and keep your head down if you wish to survive the May layoffs. They don’t need to prove it’s you, they can get you on a LR list just based on suspicion.
Just what percentage of the companywill been let go over a 12-18 month period..!??
Cisco allocated $800M to layoff a bit under 5,000 people from Q3FY2024 through Q1FY2025. This was presented to the world by Cisco at their last quarterly results call. It doesn't mean Cisco can't increase or decrease these numbers based on market conditions.
Once upon a time Cisco's executives said frequent layoffs are a sign of incompetent management, and they've been having frequent layoffs since 2001. Unless you see a divine level change in the way Cisco manages its people expect ongoing layoffs for as long as the company continues to exist.
Rumours are 14% was laid off in the UKI, not Cisco wide. More layoffs will come for sure. Company has no solutions to grow. No tech vision. Just knee jerk reactions to the latest market buzz words followed by waves of layoffs.
They are years behind in AI growth , way behind Juniper. Just hyperbole doesn’t fool Wall St quarter after quarter. They will not hit the numbers. Look at the SPIFF. Unrealistic goals were projected to Wall St. and when those goals won’t be met, stock will crash.
Stock is down YTD. Look at 5 year or 6 month. To balance that, there will be more layoffs. More layoffs there are, more song and dance there will be from self-styled SEDs about “change” and “AI”. Fact is , Cisco has no AI solution to sell to customers, don’t know how to sell it. A bunch of con artists and prima donnas have hijacked the company and the UKI is a pilot for that. They started this traincrash 4 years ago in the UK and now the circus has come out in the open. Entertainment Courtesy of the UK management.
Just a simple question....
If this is actually the first large layoff of the year, and there were a couple of smaller ones earlier on, and there is another large one coming in Q3 (rumour is also early FY25)..

As its sounding more like 20% plus to me over just 12 months or so, which is alarming...
Forget we are people, we actually are numbers.

Help yourself stay low if you survived make yourself ready for next job. Loyalty or focus on your work is pure stupid.
“Change is the ONLY constant.” It’s a total train wreck. Why would any half decent ELT pick a pi$$ poor management like the one in UKI is beyond me. They kept wrecking everything systematically since 2019 - bullying, intimidation, picking out dedicated high performers and pushing them out, ignoring customers,… the list goes on. And then, somehow, it’s the fault of the ICs so it’s them that get laid off.
Also bear in mind you usually didn't set out to work for Cisco. You ended up been acquired and then having to watch them drive your assimilated business unit over a cliff.
Labour laws mean there is a consultation period
Basically people were in limbo for 2 months not knowing if they are in or out
High stress, higher targets, less support
Best place to work 2024
Rumouredly laid off 14% at one go. Won’t confirm anything. The day they LRed people, the SED published a public blog welcoming spring and “change”. That should give you a hint about what they are doing to people out here. “Best place to work, 10 years in a row”.
