It's harder to split apart in the east where all the FIOS, DSL, Data in general, & Wireless are now riding on the exact same backbone. They finally finished up that cost savings project soon after I left.
I saw someone else post it somewhere on here. They are buying a fiber company that also has a lot of small cells. Small cells are needed for their 5G MM wavelength.
The company will rid itself of TDM(DMS,5ESS) in the somewhat near future. I don't even think at this point any company would buy it since it's obsolete technology and would generates a small revenue that wouldn't offset the buyers investment . Facilities like fiber and copper the company will hold onto those to support mobility(5G) and VOIP(FIOS).
It's all fun and games now. However when Brightspeed buys us and Bobby Mudge starts cutting away the dead wood, that's when the tears start.
Here come the Bobby Mudge fanboys !
I know for a fact Brightspeed wants vz landlines. Funny I saw Bob Mudge a few weeks ago at a vz location for meetings
No, Brightspeed has no interest. There haven’t been any “talks” and the only ones spreading these rumors are the cellphone charger sales people.
Yes. Brightspeed has interest to buy. There have been some high level discussions already. They currently dont have enough funds secured to buy it yet. Verizon wants Wireless only.
Who would buy landline given all the legacy baggage? Only way is to work out a long term union contract, then sell it all. Buyer has a stable work-force until they figure things out.
Confirmed, Verizon will establish its own country, print its own currency, and only welcome those who speak English and French and have 3% body fat.
Some guy at Lake Mary told me it came to him in a vision a couple nights ago.
Confirmed, six and six plus $2000 a month until age 62.
I have heard something totally different. I heard a 3 and 3, plus 70000 a year for 3 years. Off payroll is June 15 th.
Confirmed, union and company have reached an agreement on an extension. I was told they are ironing out some small details but it’s a go.
Confirmed, Verizon is selling the wireline side. Some woman at Hidden Ridge told me she heard it from someone in the know.
4/30/24 company and union will announce contract extension. 4 more years. Heard this from a guy.
Who would want it?
It's to celebrate the 235th anniversary of George Washington's first inauguration. I have this on good authority. Do not doubt me.
Yes , they wanna get rid of union bloat
