It's not just Optum. I was E&I local markets and GL 31 and my position was eliminated just after my 16 yr anniversary. The "leader" kept his entire male VP team. I was the only female VP let go in his org. Very disturbing. I'm sorry this has happened to so many fellow colleagues.
I was laid off today
Been with UHC since it was Travelers. 35 plus years. Only one left that is clinical and business degrees. I believe I was let go today due age and disability status. The meeting request was sent while I was out having surgery
Andrew Witty needs to step in, this is ridiculous. He is sitting back laughing and saying how much he’s saving when doing these mass layoffs.

OBH got hit today, laid off whole team of data specialists for provider data updates.
I was laid off today. I work in the home health sector. Last day is May 2nd. I will receive 3 weeks severance and 40 hrs PTO pay. They cut 25% of my department today. People who had been their much longer
I was impacted as well. Just celebrated my 16th anniversary last month
I was laid off this morning. Just had my 17th anniversary here after great work and years of dedication. Pay grade was 27.

Some PRL Supervisors were impacted.
The Ambassador/Community Health Worker role at Landmark Health was eliminated. About 150 employees impacted. Last day May 2. Severance package depends on length of time with company. Medical/Dental benefits until May 31st. Assistance with redeployment. Just informed minutes ago.

Friend’s wife who has worked for Optum more than 20 years was laid off today.

E&I small group already super lean. My whole group of 3 was let go. Basically our product now has 0 support apart from dev ops. Ridiculous. Been with my team 14 years.
So are they letting you look for redeployment for 2 weeks or are the layoffs effective today
I just got laid off. Option Health - Optum Care Solutions. Severance package: 6 weeks pay and PTO payout. Looks like 112 of 748 employees were laid off.
I got the axe today. I'm part of the Specialty Sales team, but worked specifically with the Optum Care CDOs. My team is made up of 5 people, including myself, but not sure if any of the others are included in the RIF or not (this is after our team started as 9, but 4 of them left the team - 3 I know bc our leader is HORRIBLE, the other one was partly that and partly bc it wasn't a clinical role). As shocking as it is to be let go (I've NEVER been fired/termed from a job in my life), I am kind of relieved. I HATE this job (I'm a pharmacist and this job is in no way clinical and all sales, which I don't like) and my manager is the worst leader I've ever had in my life... that includes the managers I had working at an amusement park, that were only a few years older than me. On to bigger and better things!!
It’s happening today all impacted people are being notified. It impacts multiple departments across the company. If you get an unexpected meeting today you are gone most likely. If you get a team meeting then you are ok and will just be notified of the changes within team
