Yes. Please do yourself a favor and evaluate if this is truly the best situation for you. I was a survivor of a large round of layoffs this time last year. The past twelve months have been excruciatingly difficult and stress filled. Although there are some specific advantages with my position, it's nowhere near worth the cost of uncertainty that Optum tends to encourage. After the layoffs my leadership team shifted to an approach of leading by fear. Rather than addressing the clear lack of morale, they doubled down and threatened us not to complain about wages while insisting on massively increased productivity with no return to the employee. One minor misstep and we are placed on a Final Warning CAP. I thought this was just unique to my situation, but during a team meeting my manager confirmed they did this to multiple people, then bolstered about terminating employees-placing the situation in the public square as a warning to stay in line. You can do better, don't be scared to take the leap.
