They will 100% favor an internal hire than a newly graduate though. Talking from experience. You’re better off looking elsewhere. Chances for you to get hired are close to none.

If you are an upcoming College Graduate, I'll give you the same advice I have given other who have reached out to me on Linkedin about opportunities at Dell.

Don't even consider it. There are plenty of other companies out there that value their employees. Dell will just su-k the life out of you.

I had one parent who asked me what it would be like. Their child had an offer from Dell (this was about 6 months ago) and Walmart working in the eCommerce group. Dell offered more $ (that surprised me, until I heard it was an i6 role) but I told them Walmart would be a better overall experience for a first IT type job.

Dont worry dell will have managers malign tenured employees who are talented and create a paper trail that paints them as stupid/bad performers, lay them off, then hire you with zero experience. Its the dell way.
