Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

CBU sale has failed

The word on the street is the asset is junk and there are too many issues on how Chevron runs this business unit with multiple violations in all aspects of the business from environmental to legal to labour hanging on their neck
It seems that the BU can not be given away either. A hot potato

Not OP here again, just also wanted to mention I heard some of the employees were "Rick rolling" other employees with pictures of a semi nu-e old man in a hot tub?? I consider myself a pretty liberal person but this crosses a line. There are some interns there that are barely older than my son in high school!

Not OP but I work in the same building and can confirm the milk issues are ongoing and has so far cost the company up to $4 million. I also heard they are having a severe mustard shortage??

OP here yet again, totally kidding on my last post. I'm just joking around. I did want to bring up an ongoing issue regarding the milk pumps in the space hitting a gas kick and the overpressured zone causing a milk head blowout, exploding cereal and milk all over my polo and lanyard. Has anyone elses face this issue previous also????

Can you all please sc--w off. None of you are OP - I am. And I’m telling you this insider knowledge as someone who knows what is happen on the inside which you can choose to believe or disregard at your own peril. CBU sale has failed. Period. They just fired the team responsible today, terrible CBU management.

OP here again. I heard a rumour that there's a glitch in the R&A system allowing employees to doll out unlimited rewards in a circular fashion.

OP here - I’m just kidding, I actually have no clue how the sale is going (other than it taking its sweet a-s time). But it’s telling how many of you fell hook line and sinker for a story in which Chevron is the bad guy. Almost as if Chevron is the bad guy. And you all know it deep down.

The data room just opened a few weeks ago and is still being reviewed by multiple companies. As well, the asset is in one of the most highly regulated and audited regions of the world - there are no legal issues.

What a sad troll.

If the company is so corrupt and incompetent, why in creation are so many of you guys still staying on with CVX? They must be doing something right or the hapless employees would be jumping ship like rats.

TO: @1ywu+1sBRYbfw
Spot On, The main issue here is liability. CVX runs its business based on incompetent functions that only perform internal business and cover for each other. SCM, HR, and Legal have all been disastrous and corrupt, but they just cover up for each other while exposing the company to multiple failures. They are a huge liability. They keep each other employed by dragging the company from one disaster to another.

No Sale at least for the near future

all depends on the price they’re looking for and what liabilities they want to pass to a buyer, it’s still a valuable asset within the western Canadian sedimentary basin to another operator. They don’t have to operate the way CVX did.

Maybe they can package CBU with SJV and GOM to an unwitting buyer.
