At a time when people will be nervously waiting to hear if they have a call that day I was asked to be a sweetheart and pick up some extra work to help a lagging project. Are they unaware that our focus and energy might not be so good?

EMEA layoffs next week and then other GEOS to follow. Some places take longer to organize due to pesky workers’ rights.
As for layoffs being ‘part of business’, or whatever the glib comment was, thanks Gordon Gecko, we’re all aware. This is my third round in four years and I was laid off from the previous 3 jobs, remarkably.
I’m actually cool with it. Not going to worry about a thing I can’t change.
But I might not be overperforming this week.
and those hires are completely ridiculous again...VP reporting to VP and both coming from failed startups lol...same RAT cycle again.
They are already hiring VP's to replace the ones that were laid off...not sure how that is cutting costs.
Same and I’m in EMEA too.
Layoffs are not going to stop people get used to it. Nike is bloated and struggling, the stock is down & JD promised $2B in cost reductions. Where is that $2B going to come from? Certainly not efficient operations, it’s going to come from the easiest method of cost cutting…your job.
EMEA layoffs are going to drag on for the year depending on the country
I thought they were done with layoffs?
Understand it su-ks from all sides but this generally means you have a job. I’d rather take on a bit more work then be unemployed in this market
