Everyone needs more specification. Some firms, such as Best Buy are reshoring. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/reshoring.asp
One of the problems with reshoring is we don't know how often it occurs. Businesses are not likely to broadcast they made a mistake.
Surprisingly only the job recruiters seem to know the shifts (since they place the layoff people when the firm offshores and replace the layoff position when the firm reshores)—no doubt they like the churn.

There have been efforts to move chip manufacturing on shore. There is also the SelectUSA effort. https://www.selectusasummit.us/
There is a lot of "globalization = offshoring". Basel II plays a large part here. In fact, India has funded a Basel II - AI model https://pib.gov.in/PressReleaseIframePage.aspx?PRID=2012357
and of course, Basel II is not enough there is now https://kpmg.com/xx/en/home/insights/2022/02/basel-4.html Basel 4, Basel 3.1 or Basel 3 Endgame.
