Thread regarding Ford layoffs

What's with yearly changes in high management positions? What abt young inexperienced Directors?

Many executives were given the sack, only after a short period (mainly D. Field team). There are equally relatively young persons being hired. Little that I see in town halls and department meetings, but are they fit for this period?

The private salary roll types are on a yearly contract. So you probably will see this happen quite often this month.

Funny how most are joining Ford to retire 1 year after!! Couldn't they retire in their previous companies. All this doesn't inspire any hope on tomorrow. It seems the goals that the direction is setting for them are not achieved, but why no one communicates clearly is surely intriguing

Nothing unusual really. Ford is a huge company with a lot of high level leaders. Considering most of them are 45-50+, you can expect several a year to be considering retirement anyway. They are also not very consequential, it’s a very traditional company with a lot of things stuck in the way they always did things. Unlike a Tesla with a Czar running the place and will chop a whole division base on a dr-g induced whim or something. Not saying one is right or wrong, but just saying that high level people moving isn’t a big deal here.
