(Relying on self reporting here, as Glassdoor numbers don’t seem to fit the ranges, even confirming “base” salary only)
an easy way to check this is to check the h1b database sites. You can see the salaries of all new hires that are h1b visa holders along with the job titles. i believe this will only show base salary though and not TC.
You can also go to the job hub and look at the salary range for different job postings if they have the posting in one of the states the requires it. If you're going into a salary negotiation, you need to check this info!

The engineer salaries I have heard in GN&T are $10k+ higher than other groups’ 7T engineers.
Lowest 7T I recall was about $70-75k as an Engr III in VBG. Tenure 0-5 years.
Career band itself doesnt dictate your pay. It is a combination of factors … job title, your function, business group, tenure, job family, department, etc.
The salary range of 7Ts working in an ops role in VBG is a lot different compared to 7T engineers in GNT
I ask this, keeping in mind in the old MCI/Worldcom days people could get a mid-cycle raise just by going to their boss and saying they felt they deserved one.
All of this was gone and raises were centralized, and scheduled in lock-step with annual reviews before I onboarded. I have only ever received a “performing”.
