Anyone have any idea what AT&T's severance package looks like? Our team was told last week that we'd get our layoff notice next week, and I'm trying to mentally prepare. It's brutal. They told those of us who are "eligible" that some of us would get laid off but they wouldn't say how many of us. So we don't know if we're safe.

Call HR or benefits 3 times and ask the same question. You will get three different answers, wonder why employees are asking other employees about policies and processes? hmm.. When there is constant change, churn, layoffs, off-shoring, contracting, relocating, etc.. this is what you get. Getting to be less and less sycophants to defend Stankey and the c-suite.

Get over yourselves, everyone knows about HR onestop.The issue is company policies are constantly changing these days so, it’s reasonable for someone to ask in a layoff forum to get the latest from others who have recently gone through the layoff process.

Look, I generally agree that there's no need to be mean to each other here, but honestly...how can one have worked here (presumably for many years) and not be aware of, or seemingly have any idea how to find basic information?

I’m not OP but Thank you to those who posted helpful information. I come to work everyday and do my job to the best of my ability, I’m not HR and don’t know all the policies either, the norm working for a large corporation isn’t to always be looking over one’s shoulder and expecting to be laid off. Unfortunately that has become the norm at AT&T so, I shouldn’t be surprised but still am, human nature. I will be ok and move on, just wasn’t expecting it so soon.
As has been stated by leadership, no one is safe so, all you gaslighters and smug people, you may be next. Thanks for the concern, bet you are a joy at family/friends gatherings.
Just search for the severance policy on HR onestop. Generally, for management employees it is 4% per year, maxing out at 50% for 13 years of service.
This is obviously not a union contract question. As a Manager, I can't 42believe you do not understand the layoff rules. They have been treatening to lay you guys off forever.

Yep, start looking now. I know people that got their notice a year ago and still looking for work again. Even if you are safe you probably wont be in the future, plan ahead. It takes time and as others have said, telling people you worked at ATT will not do a lot for you in the market.
Get your work life in order, don’t wait. Don’t think for a minute your skills from AT&T amount to anything. Update your resume. Take the time to read and review numerous suggestions and alternatives. Get it right! Get skilled up. i.e. SAFe Certifications (POPM, CSM, etc…), Data Visualization skills with Tableau and Power BI. The job market is ruthless right now. You have no more control over that than you do regarding your employment with T. If/When you get your walking papers, like so many have, be aggressive. So many of us have ended up in a much better position and truly enjoy what we’re doing now.

Max severance is 6 months depending on years of service....or 4% of pay per year, maxes out at 50% of base salary..googled it
CWA Midwest here. Our severance tops out at 88 weeks pay dependent on years of service. It's different for every contract
