First Republic was the trial run of this" Why do you think the firm would fail to the degree that it would need to be sold off, and that it would be to JP Morgan? That wasn't the premise in the melodramatic OP. And what makes it a "trial run"? That the nefarious powers that be are anticipating this or want it?
Yeah no sh-t bank failures happen all the time, so you're clearly implying something more with a "trial run" of something that took place in 2023, specifically regarding JPM, which is the boogeyman of choice for the paranoids on this board. @iyd what is the "conspiracy theory" issue you have? A way for you to stop thinking about the issue? Bank failures happen. They are analyzed to determine why they happen. The risk insights gained in this process should prevent future bank failures.
Before the asset cap this bank grew by swallowing up potential and current bank failures.
