I promise, there is life after Crown. I wasn't part of any layoff, I left Crown after being there for a long time. It was the best thing that I ever did for myself. My only regret was that I stayed as long as I did. Best wishes to you.
As someone new to CC but has been laid off not once, but 3 times in the past 5 years, I feel for you. I had no clue if I was going to have a job after today and my heart goes out to anyone who wandered aimlessly today after their call. “ You’ll be ok”, “toughen up”, “ you’ll land on your feet” cliche toxic positivity statements are all the things you don’t need/want to hear right now. Let me say I’m sorry and feel for you. Lean on those who you know and network through them. Take this time to really focus if you want to use this as a career change or analyze your skills to revamp your resume to give you a leg up for your next role. Give yourself the raise or role that CC never gave you. It’s like the walking dead for those who didn’t get cut but you can use this as an opportunity to live a different life. smile
I got laid off in 2020. I honestly did something very similar. It gets better. It’s temporary, you’ll find a job better than Crown, I promise.
