Cisco FSO sticking around ?

Is Cisco FSO truely working at the capacity the marketing is leading us to believe or is there some smoke and mirrors happening?
Hearing of some very large enterprise customers being supplied extra Cisco engineering resources as it’s not meeting expectations in far from suitable time frames,
Is there crossover with Splunks own AIOps Observability platform which has been around for much longer…

Too niche and now seems to be overlapped somewhat with Splunk
Needs to go alongside viptela
Use resources in growth areas

Deliver FSO by expanding Management layer and cutting engineer pool with AI in PPT is very cool !

The capacity is likely accurate. The problem in the FSO world is resources. Every team has been slashed down to bare bones. Delivering the same product with half the team just doesn't cut it.

Should probably hire back up to what we had if, we're really going to satisfy our customers.

FSO is likely to stick around. Cisco constantly buys new products and integrates them into their offers. FSO is one of those offers.

To keep from confusing customers, we set a strategy known as "solutions". Solutions - solve customer problems. We can add any aquired technology (no matter if those technologies change) into a "solution" package. Full Stack Observability (FSO) - is the marketting name for a combination of AppD, Splunk, and Thousand Eyes products.

So we're probably going to continue utilizing the FSO solution name, but now use AppD, Splunk, and Thousand Eyes in mushed together offer framework to provide that solution.

If our aquisition team can figure out how to blend those three companies seamlessly, we might have a product worth selling.
