Post from TheLayoff.com If you are within 7250 you could have run for president or treasurer of the local. Both were elected by acclimation when they were up for election last year. As it is, they both work very hard.

Leg T service service Reps are being transferred over to mobility purple contract into a sales position. No commission will be paid since we will keep our current pay. However, we will not be able to get a pay raise for 8 years as if anyone of us will still be with the company in 8 years. The severance goes from $75000 to $20000. The union just saved the company alot of money when they turn around and surplus on mobility side. The alternative is to quit or retire. This affected 14 call centers with a little over 800 service reps. There is no pension on the mobility side. Higher costs of insurance. Cheaper 401k. Anyone retiring or quitting off payroll June 15th.

That is just local 7250 making sh-t up trying to justify why the union president and treasurer are never at work. They are looking at correspondence.

No matter how you look at it, the company ultimately has the power and the company can and will continue to exist with or without the union while the union can easily be purged in the end. You know the company will proceed to lower their labor costs by using AI, automation, off-shoring, etc which means our good paying jobs here in the USA can and will be erased from the company's spreadsheets, which is all we all really are: just numbers on a spreadsheet.

The writing is on the wall. Most of our job functions are being automated and what's left is being offshored to cheaper labor. We'll all soon be laid off. It can't come soon enough for many of us.

“ In Southeast region of CWA, ATT wants all of I&M /ST/FT moved from core to uverse addendum contract section. DEG to remain under C&E. More splicing responsibilities to be given to Wire Tech. Air pressure to be absorbed back to I&M as copper reclamation is dwindling the need, welcome back to the load, late shift, and weekends!”

They need to shift the “business” gpon kuverse work from SSIM back to the Prem/wire techs. Makes no sense why T would pay SSIM more to do the work. Prem/wire techs should be burn!n the j0int down for doing the same uverse jobs as the SSIM techs for less $, less benefits, worse scheduling/shifts, etc.

What work? There are hardly any Leg T employees left. Especially workers that are in office. A handful. If they offered it they would have to know majority if not all would take the surplus option. Which is what the company wants. lol

Nice try, don't pull us into your mess we like our jobs on this side. Leg T contract isn't even negotiated until 2026 and absolutely is not part of any orange contract negotiations. I am also in southeast.
