Totally inept and greedy management at the C level ..
Allowed? This was the plan. Everything woke turns to $hit.
WHY was this allowed to happen?
Cut sheet IJ, can't be far behind
The end of an era for so many fine people. Pride of ownership, quality and innovation is gone. Time marches on and Xerox is no longer in step ..
Great things from West Coast for sure.
Imagine where we'd be if they worked more than a 1000-1400 shift, 4 days a week...
"When Webster decimated West Coast engineering in the early 2000’s they set in motion the downward slide to no innovation.. They now get what they deserve !"
Webster didn't cut anything... executives did. We are all victims of bad management.
No putting this Humpty Dumpty back together again…re-invention is just another silly putty ..
Listen to him - does the "reinvention operating model" make a bit of sense to you? It's all corporate doublespeak with the yes people shaking their heads and smiling. Too bad there is no plan.
It means SB and crew are lying.
What the he-l does this mean?
In announcing 2024 Q1 results today, Xerox CEO Steven Bandrowczak noted the quarter was an important milestone in the company’s Reinvention, implementing a new operating model that closely aligns with the needs of our clients. The progress shown instills confidence in the company’s ability to reposition the business for long-term, sustainable growth:

Calling all Black Belts to save us!
Calling all remaining Black Belts to save us ..
“ Should be an interesting study in the business schools as to how Xerox totally
collapsed inward on itself”
Nothing interesting at all. Incompetent mgt without the foresight to properly diversify.
To all the Senior Management teams from Ursula Burns and on nice job running Xerox into the ground ..

I'm curious how many companies will want to buy anything iGen/Nuvera when it's clear it's a dead end product. Sure they will have to support the product line - in theory - for a number of years. But ongoing feature development, fixes, etc ... will not really be a big thing.

A3 Tigers loosing habitat, study A4 Lexmark ecosystem so don’t end up stuffed and mounted on a wall
Stick a fork in her, she's done!
The tech powerhouse stinks worse than the Golden Corral bathroom.
From market leader and undisputed champ to washed up chump thanks to brutal management
Such a shame. We were rocking it before the big HCL shakeup. Had majority market share. Customers were valued and happy. Surprised Xerox is still in business after all they have done to their customers.
Xerox is preparing to discontinue manufacturing of the Xerox® iGen® 5 Press and the Xerox Nuvera® Presses, two legacy platforms that helped create the Production Print industry. Order fulfillment for iGen and Nuvera is expected to continue through 2024 or while inventory lasts. Xerox will provide industry-leading support for these platforms throughout the life of their contracts.
manufacturing first and the rest to follow
Layoffs in Webster today.
Who gets laid off with this announcement?
Webster engineers? Hatch Center? Tigers?
Service staff?
Is SB doing his town hall from Japan?
A sale of our production cut-sheet inkjet business is still very possible. I've heard that some of our senior folks are in Japan right now.
Sam is turning off the lights. !!
Proof that no one was interested in buying it.
No buyer=shut it down
Apparently they are still shopping Baltoro but it could eventually be sh-t down, too. Why would anyone buy from Xerox now???
Now FINALLY we can become a tech powerhouse.
Say it ain’t so …..sad!
whY didn't they announce this at EMEA event? clients would love it
I've tried my best to remain positive in the face of declining revenues and ongoing layoffs over the years. But this is a railroad spike in Xerox's coffin.
It's sad to see it go, but it seemed inevitable. No investments were made in these products for many years. The Webster campus was a ghost town before... Who's gonna turn out the lights?
Expect an announcement this week on the future of toner production plant in Canada (Supplies Development Centre in Mississauga). Most believe a shutdown is looming. This Webster announcement almost confirms it, as SDC makes Nuvera toner.
I was expecting a sale of the production products to another company, not a complete shutdown.
