Is there a software that’s being used to calculate miles from the office for each employee? Or is someone manually checking in google and taking an average of the routes to calculate?
Anyone know? Seems like it could swing in different directions if only 1 route is being considered.

It's "as the crow flies". They aren't measuring roads or routes, so it could effectively be further than X miles when driving.
Probably with paper maps, a ruler, and a sharpie marker.
They have heat maps that calculate where you live (that information is in workday) compared on where you’ve been “mapped” to. Likely they are using the most direct route, which may or may not be the shortest route.
No one sane is going to be commuting from the suburbs to a large city. Losing hours of our lives. Only makes sense for the insane lunatics aka the managing committee.

Another Wells Fargo alum here. Not only is the execution horrible, needlessly complex and inefficient, everything is 2-5 years behind. The people in my group act like I am crazy when I say these things. Working here is like living in the Twilight Zone. Glad to know there is at least one other person who knows on the payroll.
I want to know if the 30 mile radius is applicable for every hub or if it will vary. 30 miles in LA or Atlanta traffic is a lot different from 30 miles in Fargo.

Given that U.S. Bank copies the bad ideas from other banks (only with worse execution), they are likely doing the same, only they are probably doing it manually. Expect all kinds of bs.
