Thread regarding Red Hat layoffs

Get ready Hatters

IBM filed a W.A.R.N with the state of North Carolina. That only means one thing.

The acquisition of Hashi bears more forewarning that Big Blue is going to gut Red Hat.

From a comment posted on the Kyndryl board, here's the particulars on the WARN notice: IBM hasn't actually pulled the trigger on it yet. They only filed an intent of notice to use a WARN.

There are probably not as many layoffs as people were saying when they were spewing FUD.

Here's the link to the NC WARN site -- no mention of Red Hat or IBM. Scroll down to find like to 2024 reports

https://www.commerce.nc.gov/data-tools-reports/labor-market-data-tools/workforce-warn-reports

And here's website that tracks historical WARNs. You will notice that there are very few WARN notices for IBM relative to the layoffs. This because the company knows how to fly under the radar.

Any update on this? I'm not seeing it on the NC site.

Provide a link .. it’s not listed publicly on the state website. Additionally these could be layoffs specific to IBM and not RH as more than likely the company name would be Red Hat and not IBM listed in the actual WARN filing.
