Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pat must go

We are calling for the resignation of Intel CEO effective immediate. He has failed every employee and every stockholder. Spending like a drunken sailor, no line of sight for any growth, revenue in a tail spin, market cap exactly half that of AMD’s and a terrible terrible negative morale sweeping the company. This titanic is listing and slowly going under. Sadly :/ all thanks to Pat.

@3hty - Intel board can authorize an acqui-hire of someone like a Jensen Huang, Lisa Su or CC Wei. I am sure they will jump at the chance of immortality in turning around a legend of US industry.

Pat is fooled by people under him. In particular, he is fooled by Ann from TD, Ann is fooled by people under her, this fooling ripples down. Every hop of decision making, is a single point of failure.

This pretty much sums up why Intel is finished....

Sandra: “For sure, we are in an age now where our employees are looking for a deeper, richer connection to the purpose of the organization,” she says. “They care about diversity, equity, inclusion. They care about the planet.”

https://www.intc.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1451/intel-ceo-pat-gelsinger-announces-idm-2-0-strategy

Intel is the only company with the depth and breadth of software, silicon and platforms, packaging, and process with at-scale manufacturing customers can depend on

I think TSMC and Samsung have you beat there Pat.

Bad judgement here
https://www.fastcompany.com/90722058/intel-pat-gelsinger

In June 2021, Gelsinger named 22-year Intel vet Sandra Rivera to head up a new Datacenter and AI Group. Rivera, who spent two years as Intel’s chief people officer before taking on her new role, describes what Intel staffers are looking to get out of their relationship with the company, using terms that would have been unlikely to come up in its original heyday. “For sure, we are in an age now where our employees are looking for a deeper, richer connection to the purpose of the organization,” she says. “They care about diversity, equity, inclusion. They care about the planet.”

No, we don’t give a sh&t about DEI or saving the planet.

From 2021
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/03/23/intel-makes-foundry-strategy-shift-under-new-ceo-pat-gelsinger-.html

Pat thinks it’s 1999

"Intel is back. The old Intel is now the new Intel," Gelsinger said

Lies

"This is the Intel strategy, period, full stop. It does not depend on a penny of government support, or state support, or any other investments to make it successful," Gelsinger said

This doofus has to go.

It’s not my fault.
The market is soft and will be super great in 2H
We have a plan!
Unquestioned leadership in 10 years.

We are ahead of TSMC and AMD is firmly in the rear view mirror.

Please review our PowerPoint decks for proof.
Customers will come because we are Intel and have always been great.
