Unless you live in a cheap labor country. Then remote suddenly works.
It's also easier to get visas for Indian workers in Germany than in the US right now.

Europe has done intense wage suppression for the past 20 years to the point where it has become attractive as a supply of labor. Cheaper executive level roles in Germany than in US. And Germany will outsource it to India.
