“There is always more potential when it comes to cost discipline,” Stellantis CFO Natalie Knight told Bloomberg. “We are going to continue to optimize our labor costs.
We will over hire in LCC and realize the quality and launches will be disasters, it will be to late and executive have their golden parachute. Just like overshooting EV models that consumer have no appetite for. This will turn out badly.
Read article today we are currently hiring 500 engineers in Brazil and India replacing HCC at salary cost average 52000 per person. You thought quality was an issue now, just wait.
I think that’s for sure to come. Just look at this Gen2 EDM. What a complete disaster.
The news article does not say that.
New product development and launches going like sh-t? The problem is too many people noticing those problems and doing work to fix them. Fewer people = fewer problems found = faster launches!
The next round of layoffs in white collar land is upcoming fast for N. America; going to become impossible to launch anything and not recall it a dozen times.
If our careers only functions at FCA/Stellantis you never had a career!
If they let us go we should work for other car companies and take their market share!
Wining against this id--ts should be easy!
Just look at quality of CAE results from India !!! We building cars virtually now!!! LOL
Customer will do the testing for us!! LOL
Maybe that is the desired outcome... if it looks like a ducks, quacks like a duck and swims like a duck - it's a fr-king duck.
So we cut until no one left in N.A. or bare bones staff. If we double down on EV we are all at risk. Consumers do not want and pivoted back to ICE. We will see mega losses.
