In CA you can collect unemployment after the 2 months warn notice. I have been laid off from Wells twice before and each time in SF got severance after 60 day and still got my severance pay every two weeks. On my 19th year at the bank lay off number three?

You can do it anytime but after you have received your last paycheck…

It varies by state. South Carolina allows you to take unemployment while getting severance .

Posts are correct. No you cant collect if under salary continuation severance. Yes, you can if you can get WF to give you lump sum. They wont unless you get new employment with health benefits. You lose health benefits if you take a lump sum.

Request a lumpsum severance means also officially end your employment and will end health benefits.

i just googled this and checked the nc unemployment website-- and it said that individuals on severance are not eligible for unemployment benefits.. but you should double check

not sure how many states have that provision-- i was in a state that allowed me to have severance and unemployment

After your last severance check
You can take a lumpsum severance immediately and then apply for unemployment
