6 months so far. Very much a buyers-market for senior roles, they can afford to be picky. I got turned down for a job yesterday where there was literally only one thing I on the spec I hadn't already done, and it would be easy to learn. They didn't even want to interview. And this was where I knew the hiring manager personally.

Received wisdom is to expect 6 months to a year to get rehired.

@smh unemployment is low because everyone exhausted their benefits. Once they use up their max weeks they don’t count towards the unemployment number anymore.

There are a lot of jobs BUT the employers are ghosting the people applying for jobs. 2-3 months to get an interview or decline is crazy.

I saw layoff news every day. Tesla Google Amazon, How market is good?
The good news may be big company suspended green card processing. Less competition.

Honestly it’s a hot job market for folks with solid skills. Unemployment for some reason is very low. Job hopping for a solid raise is a cinch for go getters with solid skills.

It took me 6 months to find a job. Try harder and be prepared to stay on the bench for atleast 6 months - 1 year.
