Burning Bridges & Employment Verification

Don't think I can last two more weeks. Already used majority of PTO.

What is EM policy on quitting without notice? Automatic flag as ineligible for rehire? I seriously doubt I'd ever want to return but does it show up on employment verification?

Thanks for the responses. Kinda wish I was getting a PIP, wouldn't mind the package. Historically rank well... just burned out AF. Tired of the offshoring and the lack of opportunities for technical folks

You are correct.
Dates and title, legally all they will do.
And the no rehire is no matter. Doesn't ever happen now.
One less PiP maybe. Thank you, sam.

Can't burn a bridge if the bridge is not there to begin with

You can always give notice and say you’re going to work for a competitor. They’ll walk you out right then and there but still pay you the two weeks.

Helpful, thanks. I wonder if it will feel like one if you get sent packing? Maybe you’ll be fine. You sound like you’d make an excellent SLS.

Let me rephrase. Will doing this hurt me in the future? Does XOM share any details other than employment dates and title?

This is not an airport sir.

There really is no need to announce your departure.

Really. Just go.
