What do you think the future of AppD will be after the recent announcements?

Splunk is the next pig on the never ending acquisition sc--w up list. Here's another one, they will sc--w up and buy nutanix in a year. Put that on the calendar. It can, and based on current management and the ELT, it will get worse for everyone but them.

We’ve seen this episode before play out many times. Company A absorbs company B. Company A tells company B, to not worry. We’re focused on growth, “business as usual” etc., meanwhile Boston Consulting have already been called by company A to tell them how many from company B they can decimate and throw on the street.
They do this while they look you in the eye and smile. I expect more than 60% of AppD will be axed by August. Expect layoffs in Cisco Security as well.
Anybody who’s done a serious comparison of AppD with another FSO tool will tell you it’s lacking features. Surprised it’s taken this long. Cisco just needs to call it what it is and move on.
