Good reminder to buy a term life insurance policy while one is needed. General rule of thumb is to buy 10x of the salary that needs to be replaced.
Eventually dependants are grown, house is paid off, and large nest egg is built and you no longer need the insurance. You become self insured at some point.
I can only speak for myself but we all have good insurance and the GFM is asking for $1MM. SERIOUSLY. With the economy as it is, most of us are just getting by.
