Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

HON was a dud

The tag out of a sports b-a is your motivating force for the last twenty six years?! The video did not move me to tears…. our stock price does that on a daily basis. Seemed like she was two drinks in ….or wishing she was. The panel was slightly better but too many people on stage and a lot of unfocused rambling. The horrific audio quality did not help. IMO, in the opening sequence, every one of the participants should have been required to opine on the ‘gap’. Thank you to the few who did so. That gap feels bigger than ever right now .

We are shuffling the same people around and everything is a priority, which means nothing is? Where’s the plan. Seems directionless so far.

It is astounding that HONs cabal, who have delivered so little (in fact, destroyed so much), have risen so high and never been held to account. These are members of the same elite Portland social circle who look after each other. They are a self-serving group of executives who have no connection to sport, sneaker culture or the consumers Nike should be serving around the world. The don't even create any culture within the company. It is all about protecting their position and then firing everyone else for their bad judgment, strategic mistakes and inability to execute.

HON and let’s not leave out her posse of Women’s Leadership now in key positions at the company. AM and MG are at the top of the worst most self serving Sr Leaders at the company. Blow it up. They’ve done nothing for the women’s business or the geos they served. Check the Market Share over the past 10 years. If Nike wants to get back on top in view of their consumer FW has to dominate. FW is a different culture from AP. The Sneaker culture (which is pretty cool) is Nike Sneaker culture…or used to be. But when you manage icons like tshirts this is what you get. No one ever stood in line for Tech Fleece. I love it but seriously get back to innovation, insights and inspiration in FW lead by real FW leaders and Nike will turn this thing around. HON has been an absolute disaster.

I used to work for this woman and can vouch for the fact that she's one of the worst on planet earth. If she didn't have have the limmo she wanted for a meeting across campus there would be he-l to pay. She's absoluetly vile and has zero qualifiations. Making a bad name for women across the board.

All of this! The gap is the only question. We don’t need a b-a tag sitting on our desk. How about leaders who inspire? Disappointed we were served more of the same instead of details/direction forward. I love this brand, but the delicious kool-aid has turned bitter the last 5 months.
