Please stop talking about agile and Lean.
I have PTSD when it comes to this wasted effort!

It's the "frequent reassessment and adaptation of plans" in the wrong hands that makes agile very unproductive.

Sorry, but I disagree. AGILE is simply a project management methodology for organizing tasks, sub-tasks, and their execution into shorter "sprints" vs. the more traditional waterfall methodology. Outside of the NMA and software, it's not even widely used within Boeing.

I think you might be confusing it with LEAN, Six-Sigma, JITM, and other c-suite buzzwords having to do with streamlining manufacturing, most of which came from Toyota, which is doing just fine.

These aren't what caused Boeing's downfall - DEI, nepotism, corporate greed, arrogance, and hubris did. Hiring the wrong people for the wrong reasons while everyone else focused on short term profits and personal advancement caused the company to crumble and collapse from within.

Caught my interest so I looked it up in the Oxford Dictionary

Relating to or denoting a method of project management, used especially for software development, that is characterized by the division of tasks into short phases of work and frequent reassessment and adaptation of plans.

"Agile methods replace high-level design with frequent redesign"
