Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

HR not involved in layoffs?

Is it normal during layoffs for HR to be so uninvolved? Our manager is gone, we report to a new manager who is rarely around. Upper management goes out of their way to avoid us. We are always referred to HR for questions but when you call they don’t know what we are talking about. Our manager did all layoffs on or before her last day with no other manger or HR rep present. Who are we supposed to go to?

Agree about Elfi driving HR off the cliff. Ironic that the main HR guy is awful at hiring. His team is notoriously dysfunctional and overpaid.

I don't really consider U.S. Bank to be more of a main street bank compared to Wells Fargo...also at least Wells Fargo doesn't pretend they are ethical like U.S. Bank does.
Agreed that Elfio is causing havoc.

Elfio is a product of Bank of America and Wells Fargo. In other words, Wall Street devils 😈😈 sent one of their spawn to Main Street to wreck havoc.

Since Elcio arrived it’s been the end of HR and the beginning of communism at the bank. Prove me wrong. You can’t because it’s true.

HR is only there for legal protection of the company, they do not give two f...s about the employee!

Is HR involved in anything anymore? Last I heard all the HRBP’s were all let go. Chat with HR bot now and find your own answers because they are useless.

Talent Consultants are a joke within the HR department. None us know what they even do other than parrot 🦜 the words “strategic” and “seat at the table”. Just give them a cr--ker to shut up.

They are useless honestly they do not care and are not real HR I swear. They are only here to defend the company and not the worker. Times are gone when HR rep helped us resolve issues.

Ask around and find out who your team’s Talent Consultant is and reach out to them.
