Talk to US Survey - Just DON’T Respond

I deleted without responding so they can’t pump up their engagement numbers. They don’t care what we say anyway, right? If you complain, they’ll know that their strategy to get you to quit is working. I’m not giving them the satisfaction.

I'm sorry, my workplace says no personal effects at the office and I assume that means no engagement surveys along with no photos of relatives at my desk--- I mean, a desk.

Any call I am on, they are acknowledging and coming right out and saying that low scores are expected to be RTO related. I think there should be a question or series of questions about RTO conditions etc. Not including RTO questions in the survey says it all.

They say it’s confidential, not anonymous. I researched the difference in terms and decided not to complete the survey.

With the switch to Andy and the Managing Committee as our guiding light, the bank has lost its great culture that was once here under Richard.

Yes fill it out and get fired quicker 🫨. This sounds like the worst idea ever. They know who submitted the survey.

Fill it out !!! It is your chance to rank lowest possible and make comments. Not filling out is a wasted opportunity.

Is it ludicrously stupid, yes...but survey engagement is the metric that is used in benchmarking.

If you think our feedback matters to them, you have to ask yourself this...why does leadership get so pushy about employees not taking survey? Is it because they care so much about sentiment...is there evidence that they take employee sentiment into consideration when they are making decisions? Please.

You absolutely should fill it out and be levelheaded but honest. The idea that engagement matters more than the ratings themselves is ludicrously stupid.

Taking the survey helps the managing committee. They don't give a damn about the comments/feedback, it doesn't influence their decision making whatsoever. The "HR plants" are the ones who are commenting and trying to use people's dissatisfaction to help drive up their engagement which has been floundering.

Do you understand what happens when people who are upset with the company stop taking the surveys? It makes the survey responses look BETTER for our senior and executive leaders because the average rating for each question goes UP and makes them look BETTER.

Quit telling people to stop taking the survey. If angry employees stop taking the survey it only makes the scores look better because happy employees (if they exist) are still taking the survey, which will make HR more bold to do more stupid things.

I don't think it matters either way. Low response rate can just translate into less complaints. High response rate wouldn't matter anyway since they don't care about employee input.

Take the survey. Extremely bad ratings across the company are significantly more important than the engagement %. Don't listen to these HR plants.

I stopped taking them 4 years ago. It’s pure nonsense. They just showed us with the RTO they don’t care.

I wonder what would happen if everyone just gave negative responses across the board, every single survey question. Worried about the impact on your direct manager? Well keep in mind that he/she is the person that will be laying you off. Maybe if it turns into a storm of criticism and negativity, then they'll just stop doing it.
